Hi all. Just thought I'd introduce myself and stuff.
I came to this site to humbly learn from all you hardened serial writers about creative writing. I've been told this is a good place to start if I wanted to be a writer when I'm older. Incidentally, I do. I'm only fifteen years old so please cut me some slack when it comes to everyone saying I'm not particularly good at writing. I'm only young and I'm here to learn from the best.
I've been commanded to say that I'm the son of Madmollymillions, if that means anything. I assume it does.
Anyway, thanks.
Beelay.

Beelay, some of the most poignant and beautiful work comes out of those teenage years, when love aches with its newness and cynicism has not quite yet hardened the perspective and diminished the idealism. As you grow older, you will learn techniques, developmental styles, character building, but nothing will ever quite match those first spontaneous moments of the teenage years.
I believe Grainne, who is currently on a short vacation, will be especially pleased to learn that the son of madmollymillions has joined our forum. It was through Grainne that i first became acquainted with mollymillions, and i immediately enjoyed the liveliness and perspective of her retort. Judging from your little introduction, i would say you already have a good grasp on the fundamentals of writing; that is to say you have a natural flow and articulate yourself well. I'm pleased you decided to come here to learn your craft and hope your time here is the start of a long, exciting journey into writing.

Cut you some slack? Well, of all the nerve! This right here is the problem with today’s youth – when I was fifteen, no one cut me any slacks, I was expected to make them myself. Of course, I wasn’t allowed to play with sharp objects which made it impossible for me to do this so I ended up wearing garbage bags duct taped to my legs. Welcome to the dark world – and whatever you did to make your mother send you here, you really should apologize profusely....

Slacks? I thought you'd be wearing jeans.
Bummer, another illusion down the drain.

Heck, truthfully, I'm not a pants, slacks, jeans kind of guy, which could explain the constant lewd conduct fines I've gotten over the years....

Slack? No way, not for the boy who called me Granny rhubarb! But seriously I am so very glad to have you here, knowing the creative genius that is in your genes. Welcome, wholeheartedly.

I remember that picture I drew. How long ago was that? six or seven years ago? I sure hope it was, so I can use the excuse that I was only seven.

Yep, good memory, it was about 6 or so years ago. I still have it though, I may hold it for ransom.
