I was checking out the Anchorage Daily News today, and noticed an article stating there were still more Sarah Palin e-mails that had not yet been revealed to the public. The examples of the e-mails were of an apparently dedicated Sarah, but were the readers impressed with her self-sacrifice and nobility? The first comment on the page was, "it's another haboob". After that, there was absolutely no talk of Palin and her notorious e-mail at all, simply speculations on the environmental aspects of Arizona's stupendous dust storm. www.tulsaworld.com/blogs/post.aspx?Images_and_info_on_Arizonas_dust_storm_aka_haboob/48-11807Puzzled just a little over the comments, the first thing to swamp my mind were the images of that demons and angels movie inspired dust storm. And environmental impacts. And environmental causes. Only much later; that magic hour of midnight to be exact; did i think about the first comment. Another haboob. What a wonderful word to incorporate in our dictionary. Instead of saying, "he's throwing sand in your eyes", or "he's kicking up dust", we can just say, "it's another haboob". Every now and then, we are privileged with a word we can relish.
