There's always a whole bunch of guests reading the forum and they kind of outnumber the members.
To be honest, there isn't all that much to read on this forum. -- no offense.
Just feels strange is all.

SH, the forum was originally started as a primary means of communication between staff members, fans and contributors. However, in recent months, Facebook and Twitter have been stealing some of the thunder of the forum. www.facebook.com/pages/wwwSubversifycom/313931957443twitter.com/#!/Subversify In addition, some of our regular contributors now insist on formatting their own stories directly, or email them to staff members in Microsoft Word. That, and of course, the Subversify main website, which is also a hub of commenting. But we still check the forum If you really want a number of responses, write a feature for the magazine! You seem like a smart person, more than capable of raising an intelligent conversation.

Ah, TLMW beat me to it. I do think a lot of our offhanded conversations have headed over to facebook.
I think it good to keep some conversation going her however and yes I do check it often. It is a uniqueness that we have this "backstage" wherin whomever is curious-even and maybe especially guests- get a look behind the scenes of some of the constructive conversation that very often ends up in articles.

Yes, we've been meaning to re-launch or forum for a while. I think it's a great place to meet up and discuss things "off the record", away from Facebook and Twitter, which could soon become pro-censorship sites.

I do have to wonder at times why our guests don't say anything. I know about being camera shy. I understand stage fright. But the effect here can be like going to a party with a hundred fifty guests and only five of them are talking. Maybe it's something like, "oh my God! These people are writers! Did i place my "i" before my "e"? Did i use "you're" and "your" correctly? Wait a minute. I must be doing something wrong with this sentence. It ended with a verb. i can't do this. They'll see me. They might even hear me! What if they use me as a character for their stories? I'll just tip toe out before they notice."

Karlsie has a point. I wish people understood we all make mistakes, mess up our grammar, it may help. I don't think I've ever used someone here as a character. I have however used ideas in the discussion area is a starting point for research.

I know exactly what you mean.
It's very intimidating being here. But you guys are all so nice and friendly it's hard to feel threatened.
Mostly I feel like you've probably read everything already and anything I'd come up with will just bore you..

Neah, i don't think you can bore us. Even though we pretty much know each others views, we're always enthusiastic about sharing them. Plus, new voices re-energize us. We're a young mag; just starting on our fourth year, but we're ambitious. We want to create an International forum of writers and thinkers to hob nob together and share their creativity. Many of our articles were spun from or inspired by the discussions at the forum, so always feel free to participate. We're very happy to have you here. Some of the rest of the crowd will be drifting around soon. They pop in now and then, whenever they get a writer's itch and can't think of where to scratch it.

Mitch, I'm really curious. Are these guests actual people or are they search engine crawler bots? You can see their IPs so you should be able to tell. They're driving me nuts.

There are some genuine lurkers here, but I believe the number of guests visiting at the forum are probably exaggerated by ProBoards. We do get a lot of lurking traffic at the Mag though.
