I keep saying anti-depressants are no good. They suppress the internal dialog of your conscious thoughts. It's like putting everything in a pressure cooker without a release valve. If you're depressed, it's best to work through it, not stuff it under with a drug.

Depends on whether you have someone to work it through with.

It's remarkable how many school shootings are linked to SSRIs.

Also, a fact not mentioned is that SSRIs are excreted through urine largely intact. This isn't too scary all by itself, but there's a second fact. Most large cities all over the world pump underground water for drinking. In Tehran on some summer days 50% of the city's drinking water is extracted from ground-water sources. Tehran has a night-population of over 10 million people. I'm guessing anywhere from 1-10% (it's probably closer to 20%-- think vast majority of adults) of these people are on SSRIs. (Thanks to the retard doctors prescribing them like tic-tacs.) The third fact is that modern water-treatment facilities can't do anything about trace levels of organic chemical compounds in the water. They are generally more concerned with getting rid of parasites and bacteria. Fourth fact, which is IMO the most scary. Fluoride from toothpaste is abundant in ground-water below developed cities because for example in Tehran 10 million people brush their teeth with fluoride tooth-paste a couple times a day... (100% of that fluoride ends up in the water-table) Now, check this out: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OrganofluorineNotice where it says: "Examples include 5-fluorouracil, fluoxetine (Prozac), paroxetine (Paxil), ciprofloxacin (Cipro), mefloquine, and fluconazole." If you live in a major city, just by drinking tap-water you are ingesting not only shitloads of fluorides/fluorines (toxic, poison) but also vast amounts of Organofluorines (which includes the famous SSRIs.) The dose you receive from one glass of water is negligible (I am told) but the cumulative effect is no joke. We simply don't know what happens to the human body after years of consuming trace amounts of fluoro-poisons and SSRIs. Is this a coincidence? Am I hallucinating patterns here? Or am I just over-reacting? P.S. To whom it may concern: I'm ready and willing to accept cash to shut up and rationally disprove everything I've said here.

I think we are all changed drastically by what we have taken in through water and even the dirt that grows our food. We will continue to change at increasingly unnatural rates because we keep fiddling with things.

I've thought about getting on meds off and on...depression runs in my family and i've been feeling the beginnings of it lately. but for now, caffeine seems to placate me. not sure how much longer though...

Just a bit of friendly advice.
Depression is for pussies. The only thing I got to be depressed about is death, and the fact that my fate is uncertain after that point. As long as I'm alive, there's nothing to be depressed about. As long as I'm here, there is no doubt as to my fate and my path; it is to struggle. And I choose to be joyful in struggle.
Fuck the meds. Just smoke some weed, or eat it. Or if you want a real cure, go for ayahuasca. Just my 2 cents.

And while you're at it, ditch the caffeine too. Anything that comes from the Establishment is poison. Whatever is really good for you, they are against.

I'm not on meds, and avoid prescription meds at all costs. I've seen what they do to people.
I prefer eating to smoking. It does help, I suppose, but I really don't want a drug habit, so i have to be able to walk away from such distractions in order to remain an independent human being.
Never tried ayahuasca. I think i can get salvia div but i'm kind of afraid of it since everyone says it's a mind trip. I agree with everything you say...I woulnt call myself a depressive because I'm a responsible man with a job. Most "depressives" don't even work.
But, I gotta admit life does get pretty sucky sometimes. Pot and alcohol help....

Dude, we are not independent. How could we survive without plants and animals? We are dependent on other life forms for nearly everything. So, what's the difference between eating one plant for its nutritional value and another for its medicinal properties? I'm not trying to persuade you to do "drugz." Just giving you my point of view. Say know to drugs.

I dont like the "paranoia" side of MJ. I already have bad mental breakdown moods, so I hesitate to go towards ayahuasca or SD. LOL one of my extended family relatives actually went to the hospital thinking she was dying, when she was just majorly stoned. THat's hilarious....
But yeah, I've felt that side of it and wouldn't want to go full psychedelic...that's a form of trauma really and i'm not into trauma
