rense.com/general77/sky.htmI witnessed this firsthand. A friend and I were sitting on the porch when two clouds appeared on the horizon. They seemed dense, and intensely white against the pitch-black sky. The two clouds moved from north to south towards us and as they approached one of them became a perfect circle with a dark round eye in the middle. Kind of like how a hurricane looks from space. But the most disconcerting part was 5 shadowy figures on the lower part of one of the clouds. The clouds actually descended on my house like fog. I tell you, the air seemed to be fizzing and bubbling once the fog had engulfed us. My buddy and I both saw geometric patterns, abstract shapes and faces materialize out of the fog. (totally sober) And there was an undeniable buzzing sound that turned into a loud roar at one point. The event lasted roughly 15 minutes from the moment the clouds appeared on the horizon till the fog dispersed completely. The clouds simply dissolved. I thought the most remarkable part was the five shadow-shapes clearly superimposed on the second cloud. This happened around 10pm; there was no moon and the sky was absolutely dark and yet the clouds shone with an inner luminosity. That night we thought we were the only people to see it because the clouds were no more than a few hundred feet above ground. No one else could have possibly seen them, we thought. But the following days we heard reports of sightings all over Iran.

If not for the five shapes, I could have believed the story about the north korean satellite as stated by the local media. But these things were alive and they were just as aware of us as we were of them.
To explain this away as a satellite falling from orbit is the height of ignorance IMO. I have no doubt that the most die-hard skeptics would've pissed their pants when the faces started materialising out of the luminous fog.

That is so strange. My guess would be HAARP if not for the luminous faces. Yet, i don't doubt you in the least. I've seen strange signs in the sky before, and i wasn't alone when i saw them; clouds that looked like birds of prey, as thick as a flock of wild geese, clouds with very distinct faces and animal shapes. Last winter, i was doing some star gazing with a friend. It was a very clear night with a crescent moon; ideal for star tracking; when we noticed a very low lying, circular cloud that seemed to be barely above the tree line. It hovered for awhile, then moved away. We found it very puzzling because it didn't drift, it moved.

karlsie, that incident was one crazy UFO sighting in my book, to say the least. And I've read shitloads of UFO reports from both credible and not so credible witnesses. All that was missing here was a round saucer landing and little green men coming out, which would have lumped it together with the crackpot reports; hallucinations, etc. But this thing, man it was just so out of the ordinary. I later learned that pretty much everyone in the village (a few miles away from my house) spotted the strange bright white cloud due east of the village in the black moonless night sky. A couple people actually asked me if I had anything to do with it, like if I had used a projector or something, cause the thing unmistakably zoomed toward my house and hung around until it absolutely dissolved and vanished into thin air.
By HAARP, do you mean High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program? I'm not sure what that is, but this thing we saw wasn't at all like looking at some picture in the sky (like the bat signal) no, it was a total sensory experience and we were standing there scared totally spitless at the same time amazed to the point of euphoria. I mean that thing acknowledged our existence just as sure as we did its. The moment we first spotted it, I was standing on the porch in front of the house and my friend was at the head of the pond/reservoir where the qanat's water comes out, like 60 yards away from me. He was filling a couple of water bottles for drinking. When I shouted and signalled him the cloud was exactly due north just over the horizon and very small. It must have taken my buddy less than a minute to walk to where I was, at the other end of the pond. But once he got there the cloud had moved many miles and was now very big and very close. It must have changed shape/form a dozen times as it neared us, until it finally became a giant perfect circle with a perfectly round black eye in the center. And don't even ask me what the other cloud was doing, when I noticed the 5 dark shapes on the bottom left corner I was just totally dumbfounded. I couldn't believe what I was seeing in front of me.
