Should it be an inaugural address or should it be something like the fore-runner to the Declaration of Independence? Furtive writers burning the midnight oil, struggling with concepts never articulated before. Hah hah. I've been reading a little too much of Ben Franklin, lately. He caught the romantic side of me.

Here's my version of a Subversify Inauguration Speech:
My fellow citizens. We are delighted to be standing here before you, the new leaders of our country. We want to thank you for proving that our efforts to subvert the leadership who nearly drove us into a state of hell on earth did not prove fruitless.
We could not have turned this country around without you. Had you not had the intelligence and wisdom to read our magazine, this would still be a nation ruled by hatred, ignorance, and fear. We want to thank all of you for your efforts in helping bring about this change and we implore you to continue working with us to bring new hope to the United States.
In the last two decades we saw a downward spiral of our great country and saw loss of liberty and loss of life. We saw abuse of power and misuse of federal funds. We saw our hard earned tax dollars go to the greediest of the filthy rich while the common citizen was driven into bankruptcy. We saw many people lose their homes, their jobs, and their way of life. We saw many lives lost as a result of the inability to pay for the outrageous rise in medical insurance and medical procedures. We saw the gluttony for power take the lives of our innocent sons and daughters as they were misled into fighting in wars with foreign countries so that corporate profits would rise. Today, thanks to you, the madness has ended.
We have a long, hard job ahead of us trying to undo the damage the former administrations did to our great country and our way of life, but today the job has begun. We look forward to working hard to overturn the injustices and to prosecute those responsible for the destruction of our once great country. We have fought diligently to attain this goal of leadership and will continue to fight diligently until the job is done. We shall restore responsible freedoms and liberties while maintaining proper social conscience. We shall improve and broaden the scope of education so that our children and our childrens' children will have a bright and promising future. We will work tirelessly to improve our relations with all countries and the people of all countries.
We believe that leading by example rather than forcing our will upon other countries and their people is the prudent way to proceed with foreign relations. We will no longer try to force our ideologies on others. We shall give others the respect due as they show respect to us for our many beliefs. We will not, however, bow down to foreign powers who would try to inflict their will and their beliefs upon us. We shall gladly discuss differences and negotiate treaties, but we shall not bow down to heavy handed tactics for we ARE Americans.
Throughout history, there have been lengthy discussions on which form of government is the best. Each form of government has its strengths and its weaknesses. Each form of government has had problems from leadership whose goals became too lofty out of desire for more and more power and control. These types of leadership problems will be no more. The choice you made was a wise one and your support shall not be without reward. The reward will be the improvement of all of society so that we may live together free to make our own choices and decisions about our lifestyles without intrusion by the government into your very bedroom. If a leader or a policeman wants to see into your bedroom, he can pay you for the videos. (pause for laughter)
There are some things that must be restricted. We can no longer tolerate hatred toward people of different color, different beliefs, different nationalities, or different customs. So long as citizens do not impinge on the rights of others, the differences should be celebrated. Difference enriches our lives by teaching us things that we otherwise may never have considered. Exploring those differences enriches our own beliefs and customs and leads toward better communication with, and understanding of, others. Also, we must not put the mathematician over the artist or the businessman over the laborer. We must all see one another as equal human beings, each with unique qualities that are equally valuable to society. We shall not place more value on the scientist than the philosopher or the theist over the atheist. All schools of thought shall be treated with equal respect. We must not forget the importance of comedians who not only challenge our thoughts and who also bring us much needed laughter. We shall not forget the artists, for they bring both beauty and diversity into our lives and our thoughts. We shall not forget the musicians who shape our moods with their harmonies and discordant melodies. We shall not forget the poets for they express in words what our hearts desire to speak. Who is to say that building a car is more important than nurturing our psyche? What does it profit us if we build equipment but starve the human spirit?
Technology has advanced to the point that we can communicate with others almost anywhere on the face of the earth. Learning to use this ability wisely and channel it toward applications beneficial to all mankind is paramount. Placing protections against the mob mentality hatred toward the educators, teachers, and instructors is necessary to facilitate learning and growth of society. Mean spirited attacks against others will no longer be tolerated. Enough good and innocent people have been driven to suicide, pain, and unreasonable heartache which has led to an increase physical and emotional problems for many. Restriction of abuse is not restriction of freedom, but a boon freedom. We shall not wallow in ignorance, but rejoice in learning to better and improve life for ourselves and for our fellow man. We shall no longer be a nation that rewards irresponsibility but will be a nation who prides itself on compassion and responsible behavior toward our neighbors and our fellow man.
We invite you and other nations as well to stand with us to support these values as we try to rebuild this nation as it should be. We invite the citizenry to subvert efforts to enslave and persecute others as we have in attaining leadership. Let us grow together as a nation, as a continent, and as a world.

You've definitely captured the spirit we want to embrace, and i love your opening paragraph. I think this speech makes a good draft we can tinker with, but as we are an International staff with International readers and members, i want a broader global reference than a focus on the US. It's not just the US that needs turning around; it's the entire monopolistic system. It's the Monsanto's, the Halburton's, the oil companies, the financial institutions solidly hiding in London, Holland and Switzerland. These are the bed fellows of special interest politicking that has jeopardized global well-being.
It's good to have National pride, but all countries are great, and i don't wish to see one singled out over any other. The last two paragraphs are also very good, but the conclusive statement is also US reflective. Our Nation has no boundaries. To liberalize others into vocalizing their demographic thoughts, there can be no presumption of US leadership. Any voice that stands the grounds of equal (humanitarian) rights is a leader. Let's take away the US soap box and leave a stage with room for everyone.
