And you know what, the thing that really blows my mind is that no one is interested in seeking the truth. We don't care about our origins or our "destiny." We only care about immediate gratification.
And we just don't want to bother with anything other than money, sex, alcohol, etc.
I'm really not here claiming to have all the answers, or any answers for that matter.
What I do have is a shitload of questions, that I feel we need to be asking.

P.S. This isn't directed at you guys, so please don't take offense.

Regardless of the Genesis myth, I can say that this psychedelic plant hypothesis would probably hold up under scrutiny.
I, myself, have witnessed how these plants guided me, step by step, to acquire "religion."
Under the tutelage of Ayahuasca, I have developed an idea of existence. This idea, this view includes both the world and myself, and the relationship between us.
I don't know if these visions and teachings provided by Ayahusaca are right or wrong in a scientific sense. But this is beside the point, I think.
I have also noticed that as my idea of the world has expanded and become more complex, so has my idea of my self.
I believe this is the only drawback of these plants. And it is no joke, IMO.
And I do understand that what I consider an understanding of existence, may be a delusion or whatever. This is irrelevant, because the point here is to understand how we came to possess an idea of our existence in the first place.

And I challenge anyone to offer a better explanation of the origin of our kind. An explanation that doesn't involve mind-boggling coincidences, random chance events, Aliens or God.
And I expect such an explanation to be demonstrable, today.

I don't know what you mean by "aliens." To me, aliens can mean anything, not just humanoid beings, but bodiless spirits. Basically, I think of aliens as sentient beings greater than humans.
I don't know what else there could be out there if not "alien life" or god-like beings. It's basically a question of sentience or non-sentience isn't it? Unless the universe is like a machine and has no consciousness.
I dont envision aliens like our little green men theory. I think its possible intelligence life exists out there that doesnt conform to humanoid dimensions.

I wouldn't mind trying hallucinogens, I just don't trust a lot of what is available now. I think that some mind altering substances create visions because they are harming the body. I also don't believe in smoking. And eating stuff like K2 is dangerous. Though I hear some substances, like salvia, are supposedly not harmful. Mushrooms though, I tend to think are poisonous.

Mitch, I believe concepts like God and aliens exist only in the human mind. They are something we can imagine and think about.
The idea of our selves is also in the same class as God and aliens.
What I'm saying is that what's really out there, is nothing like what our eyes and ears and brain tells us.
I think our eyes can never look at what's really out there. And even if they did, the brain could never understand it.

If you're in Texas(?), Mitch, then you could go look for Peyote in the desert. They are almost nearing extinction because of overharvesting, but you never know.
I understand how you feel about Salvia, as it's legal. But trust me, it is very powerful stuff.

Chapter 1
1 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be 2 living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. And he took up his parable and said -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.
IMHO, we, the people of today, as a whole, are the wicked and the godless. All of us, myself included. Everything else here may well be BS, but no one can deny that we are wicked and godless.
