OMG! They took her uterus out! That is so not cool! Having children is a beautiful gift. My heart goes out to the crazy mom.

I agree that having children is a beautiful gift, however its not like you pick out for someone you don't know at the Dollarama. If it were an accident, then I wouldn't take such a harsh stand against Nadya Suleman, but she had a prior history of multiple births with developmental delays, the procedure was done by the same doctor that did the othe implants so he would have been quite aware of her history and she was on the government dole - the only reason that a doctor, especially in the States, would take on a case which is quite expensive in the first place is if he was looking for his 'work' to be a historical footnote. There are a great deal of honest and reasonable people in this world trying their damnest to make ends meet for their families and failing because of the state of the world, yet a woman who obviously needs a lobotomy is using the media to shirk any reality and responsiblity.

Stacy, can you format this cartoon for the page? I think it would be a great addition!

I should add that the character is "Dr. Phal McAwk" - say that three times real fast and you'll pretty much get the gist of my mentality for him....

Dr Phal is a blowhard....That being said, I loved this and the message is art.

The image should be published as-is. I personally prefer industry standard left/right frames but the speech bubbles would be entirely too small to read when scaled. This is one of those things and artist has to think about when making the cartoon - how to get scale the image and message so that in can be conveyed in a standard format. That’s why you don’t see too much writing on the funny pages. Fortunately, this publication is anything but standard.

I usually do Dr. Phal either in written or in person (it’s amazing how one can escape public indecency, lewd conduct and exposure charges by simply putting on some customized “Ken” doll clothes) for that reason, he is a blow hard though he’s a much happier relationship counselor when he is the receiver over just yappin’ about it… I shall try to keep in mind that my little cartoon blasts at a minimal when the urge hits me.

Ok, well I tried to put this up on wordpress both as a document and as a picture. The pictures came on but too small. As a document it didn't work. I need some cartoon expertise to make all this work.

Rats. That means i'll probably be experimenting for hours now, trying to get it right. I'm a complete technical idiot and can only learn things through trial and error. I wasn't able to put Kevin's illustration up to my satisfaction, either, but he told me he would work on resolution more for his next contribution.

Maybe A.B can email it to one of us as a document. That would make it easier to put up. I'm a trial and error gal too. Don't worry about it.
