All right, I've finally figured out how to practically use social media. LinkedIn is for selfish promotion. Facebook is for senseless ranting and personal attacks. Twitter is for making a fool of myself in public. Blogger is for when I can't seem to shut up. Subversify is when I want to rant in an organized, newsy manner. Which means Google Plus is for when I'm wasting too much time and avoiding work. So Google + is the loser.

Google + is a pain in the ass for me. I would have to be actively trying to avoid all real time interaction to work out a base in that place. I feel like all of these social interaction places are designed to keep us plugged in and further seperating ourselves from face to face interaction.
Now, there's not anything really wrong with that per say. Writers are notorious for being introspective and socially out of step and I fit that bill entirely. But how many social sites can one maintain before they either lose the thread of themselves (or their made-up selves) or go insane?

Facebook is blocked here. So is twitter, google+ and pretty much every blogging site. And you know what, I really don't care cause they all suck.
But I'm glad that the iranian government has enough sense to leave subversify alone.
Mitch, your counter says you've got ~630 hits from Iran since last october. I'm curious if these are unique hits or if they are all me?

630 hits means total clicks, so it's not the same thing as unique visitors. Although we have had visitors from the Middle East, and pretty much all over the world.

Do they let you have cell phones in Iran? Because you can get Facebook on your cell phone and use anonymizing software to unblock sites. Ohh, I'm just sad to see you go, SH. I'm trying to come up with a solution.
