First I wanna stress that I'm not a UFO nut. I've read some books and heard some firsthand reports over the years; I read one book last year that was entirely a collection of eyewitness accounts. I've also read some works on crop circles, Daniel Pichbeck's name comes to mind. But I've never actually believed that advanced mechanical flying machines of extraterrestrial origin might be flying over the earth's skies.
I've been an avid sky gazer since very young age. I've seen all sorts of strange and beautiful things in the night sky; none however qualified as a genuine UFO "unidentified flying object." None, until last week when I saw a bright red spot flying at very high altitude in a straight trajectory from north to south. This was a unique sighting to me as I couldn't remember ever seeing anything like it before, and also because the object's behavior didn't fit with the behavior of any known flying objects. (AFAIK)
But compared to what I saw tonight, that red spot was lame in the extreme.
Tonight I was out, in a park north of the city. At around 7 'o clock I saw the first real UFO of my life. This thing was definitely a mechanical object. Compared to the red spot from before, this one was flying at much lower altitude.
The thing had a bunch of lights. Each of the lights changed colour constantly; I counted all the colors of the rainbow. These lights, which were each an individual point of brightness, moved around on the thing. Like one moment they were arranged in a V shape (imagine ducks migrating) then the lights moved and rearranged themselves into an X shape, then an O and a Z, etc. etc.
At one point when the thing was closest to me (which was still quite far away) I thought I could make out a distinct stereotypical flying saucer shape. It was just for a moment and it may have been an illusion but I think it was actually a big spinning disc with lights on its sides and also on the bottom.
The way this thing moved through the air was just simply sci-fi. It zigzagged and ascended straight up for what I guessed must have been ~20 miles in like 5 seconds. And I mean it went up in a straight line and moved many degrees across the sky in the blink of an eye.
It went up so high that it was hardly visible for a moment, until it plunged down like a speeding bullet! It actually seemed to fall at very high velocity, straight down! Then it just stopped in mid-air.
It danced around the southern sky for a good 5 minutes as I watched it perform every kind of impossible movement. The lights kept changing color and arranging themselves into different patterns the whole time; green, blue, red, yellow, orange, purple, you name it.
I was literally dumbstruck as I watched this thing. I couldn't even so much as think. At one point I felt the urge to start shouting at it to come closer. I didn't though.
Now, I can't say for sure but I think there's a chance the thing may have landed some place south/southeast of the city; away from the city in the desert -- or maybe even within city limits.
There were planes going by their usualy routes south of the city both before and after this thing. And I can guarantee this UFO was no plane and it was no man-made technology I've ever seen (even in movies.) I thought it was strange that the military didn't shoot it down considering it was over the city for so long.
I think this UFO sighting is right up there with the 1976 ufo incident in Tehran. The way this thing moved and the lights were like nothing I'd ever seen anywhere. This flying saucer made absolutely no sound, it flew in every direction like a helicopter except it moved much more smoothly and possibly 100x faster. While I was watching it dance, and it really was dancing in the sky, the thought occurrred to me that this thing could fly to the moon and back in a few minutes if it shifted to top gear.
I really hope someone caught this on video.. I think if the most hardass skeptic had seen this, they would suspect something's going on. I'm just really speechless. I have no idea wtf.. what I wouldn't give to know who was flying this thing.
In any case, I think I saw my first undeniable UFO tonight. I don't think it's really registered yet.. I just don't know. What could it have been??
What flies like that? And what has crazy rainbow lights that move synchronized to make shapes? wtf for?
This was crazy. I'm not sure it even happened. I hope someone reports it online. I mean if this can go unnoticed by a city of 13 million, makes me think of all the stuff that must be going on out there all the time where no one is watching.
Anyway.. I'm sure I'm not crazy. I think two UFO sightings over the same city a week apart is very strange. I think it's also really strange that I happened to be there both times.. this is statistically a once in a million type thing I think. All I know is, something must be going on.
If this wasn't a UFO and it was some kind of military aircraft, then I don't think any conventional weapon could take it out. I got the impression that this thing moved so fast and so precisely it could probably dodge bullets and missiles like Neo. If this thing was anything like the one from
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Tehran_UFO_incident then it can reportedly jam weapons systems on other aircrafts..
BTW, what do you guys think about the 1976 UFO incident? (It's currently pretty much the only worthwhile search result for "tehran ufo" on google..)
I'm sure the Iranian military spotted this thing on radar. They may have even contacted it over radio. It's really strange that no attempt was made to shoot it down.. I hope someone caught some good footage of this. (fingers crossed)
