They stole my door, and all my other stuff.
Basically, I found my house pretty much completely destroyed.. gotta go back in a couple of days to start rebuilding.
I won't lie.. I cried.. then I got angry. Now I'm hopelessly depressed..
Moral of the story? Never build a house in the middle of nowhere, but if you do -- don't leave it alone for any extended period.
But the good news is that the trees are still asleep and there's been plenty of rain. The season (agricultural season) is over a month late this year so there probably won't be any losses due to frost..

When did this happen? Do you have any clues as to who did it?
I hear about this kind of thing. It angers me, not just because it hurts my friends but because I don't know when it might happen to me.
If there's anything one might do to help, I'd do it, happily.

I am so sorry. It is more than a loss, it's a violation. I hope you are able to piece it together for yourself for this year.
Good and interesting news on the trees. I have noticed the same thing here. We were about 3 weeks behind and suffered no great losses in our area with the late storms, mother nature cares for itself.

So sorry, ADP! Some people are just awful human beings. At the end of the day, I guess we can only be grateful to be alive. But I know I would be fucking pissed off for months if that had happened to me.

It really sucks.. they trashed the place and took anything that was worth something, which wasn't actually much this time. They took all the really valuable stuff last time 2 years ago.
They took my motorcycle and my mini-tractor among other things. I'm just glad they didn't burn the place down which is surprising considering they pulled the whole door off the hinges. I'm guessing they attached the big iron door (pretty much impenetrable) to a tractor and pulled it loose, and they took a whole bunch of bricks with it too.
Then the door (no door) was just left wide open for maybe a whole week or possibly more.
I have a general idea of who did it but there's no way to prove it in court. I'd have to plant evidence and basically frame the people who did it if I want legal justice which is pretty much how it always is over there. (Chaharmahal Bakhtiari province)
Last time I went to the police and they sent a couple of officers to inspect my house. I asked them to check the place for fingerprints but they refused and in their report they said that there was no evidence that anything had been stolen, other than my word of course. The case never even went to court. I suspected that the cops had been bribed or something. In the end, they told me to go live in the village like normal people; they said "If you insist on living in the middle of nowhere, we are under no obligation to protect you." I swear.

This sounds kind of familiar.
