Both videos by me, and taken on 26 May 2012 (Saturday). The return journey was even worse.
There are apparently frequent fist fights on these trains and more than a few deaths each month from people falling off.

The Mexico City Metro is just as crowded, although they do not allow people to spill out the doors. After the initial in and out rush, the doors slide shut and the train takes off; that's it. You do not carry your wallet in your pocket when boarding one of these trains, or you will find your pocket neatly cut out when you get off. The only good news is that these trains are incredibly faster. You can reach any destination in Mexico City inside twenty minutes. Nor is there a long wait for catching them. If you can't squeeze yourself on board with the first train that comes along, you only have to wait a few minutes for the next one.

I suspect this is why Americans aren't voting for trains, loving their solitude in their metal capsules they way they do.
Sardines yes, but does it help with traffic?
Would you consider writing a paragraph blurb and allowing us to put this up on Subversify Viral?

Bill, Basically just a couple of paragraphs about why you were inspired to film, the state of mass transit in India and whether or not you think it's a positive thing, as in does it actually help or does it make people feel more like rats?

OK. This actually can be made into a full article if you give me a day or two.
