I think one could say in simple terms, that in Iran it is possible for a man to choose his level of interaction with society. Like myself for example, I prefer to keep my dealings with society strictly in terms of necessity; my necessity.
In the US/EU, society chooses your degree of interaction. One cannot decide to sever his ties with society unilaterally and not be discriminated against in the west IMO. This is however possible in Iran.

It seems to me there is a lot of Orwell styled double talk in the press releases involving Iranian sales of oil. The press seems to blame Iran for not selling oil to Western countries, yet the sanctions they name drop so casually include not buying oil from Iran. It only stands to reason if one person isn't buying, the other isn't selling. Oil companies are having a field day with this. The cost of gas prices, which grew exponentially with every oil crisis or disaster, are estimated to reach between four and six dollars a gallon by this summer, and it's all blamed on Iran's refusal to sell oil to the US. Why is the public so damned gullible?

www.sephardicstudies.org/iran.htmlNo one in Iran is calling for the mass death of Jews as far as I know. What they are saying is they want to see the name 'Israel' removed from the map and replaced with 'Palestine.' They want to see the Jews who live in Israel/Palestine treat the Arabs as equals or if they can't: move back to their own country. The Iranians believe that the Arabs are the descendents of Israel just as much as any Jewish immigrant, if not more so. The government of Iran believes that the Palestinians and the Lebanese are the underdogs of our day, fighting for their freedom and survival. The government of Iran has vowed to support resistance movements in Palestine and Lebanon to the bitter end. Why are the Zionists so angry? Is it possible they weren't expecting anyone to stand up for the little guys? I think the Zionists expected to have achieved the dream of "From the Nile to the Euphrates" by now. You probably know this but the flag of Israel is two blue lines with a star of David in the middle. This flag represents the dream of Greater Israel. The blue lines represent the Nile river in Egypt and the Euphrates river in Iraq. The star of David in the middle represents Jewish sovereignty or domination. Apparently, the Zionist elders expected that by the year 2000 they would have accomplished the conquest of Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, the Sinai peninsula and Iraq (basically half of the middle east) Some say that the dream of Greater Israel is in conflict with the Iranian dream of unifying Persia. Others say the Iranians' hearts are in the right place. Whatever the case, the fact is that the Zionists are barely holding on to little Israel and it's already 2012. Their ambitions of establishing a super-state in the middle east have been raped by Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran. I actually empathize with them from the bottom of my heart. They must be so heart-broken.

I wish we'd all just stop being 'Jews' 'Muslims' or 'Christians' and start being 'people.'

Sausages! Who would have thought, although this does emphasize my observation that each country has assets and resources that have value in world trade and economy that should not be undermined by corporate take over. Oil is seen as the single, greatest resource, but this simply isn't true. It's simply the largest energy provider and consequently, the resource that gains the most media attention.

It seems the consensus is that if Iran gets its hand on highly enriched uranium, they will become untouchable. If they become untouchable, these "evil madmen" who are probably high on DMT, will actually be able to threaten the west.
So, Israel has vowed to never allow this to happen. But if they attack Iran they will basically be motivating the Iranians to develop nukes underground. If they don't attack, they say Iran will get nuclear weapons soon.
So, attack or no attack? And what would the scale of the offensive have to be to have any effect on a country as big and as populated as Iran?
Iran has nuclear facilities in Bushehr on the gulf coast; there's more near Esfahan a thousand kilometers north; there's another facility near Qom another five hundred kilometers north; there's yet another in Tehran. They probably have others that no one knows about.
I'm really excited and interested in seeing how this is going to play out.

Then there's the issue with Syria. As Jane Stillwater mentioned, the US is obviously behind what's going on there. They are arming dissidents and encouraging them to go on a killing spree.
If things escalate, as in if the American military gets involved like they did in Libya, I wouldn't be surprised if the Iranian revolutionary guards stepped in. But at this point, I think it's clear that the Quds force is handling the matter. And if I know the Quds force, they will crush the armed militants in Syria and bring back stability and security to the country soon.
If Iran loses Syria, things will get much worse for Iran. They just cant afford to let this happen IMO.
